Next Health Gains Approval as a "Qualified Connecticut Business"

Next Health, LLC’s  application to be considered a “Qualified Connecticut Business” for purposes of the Connecticut Angel Investor Tax Credit program has been approved. The list of Qualified Connecticut Businesses on the website www.ctangeltaxcredit.com has been updated to include Next Health.  The State of Connecticut recently launched a new program that allows Angel Investors to take a credit against Connecticut State income tax for certain investments made in qualifying businesses.  Investments must be at least $100,000 in order to be considered under the Program and the income tax credit equals 25% of the cash investment, up to a maximum credit of $250,000. Connecticut Innovations, Inc., a quasi-public authority, administers this program on behalf of the State.

Next Health's AgileLife Bed Installed at Van Munching Rehabilitation Center

STAMFORD, CT (Newsline: September 30, 2011) - The Van Munching Rehabilitation Unit has acquired a system that enables bed-ridden patients to move in and out of bed easily, safely and quickly.  The system, called AgileLife, is on loan for evaluation and was recently installed in Van Munching August 8, 2011.

Norwalk company makes new bed for those bedridden

NORWALK, CT (WFSB) - A Norwalk company has created a new bed that does the work of two caregivers.

The day Michael Tierinni had to put his mother into a nursing home, was the day he vowed to get her back home.
"I was determined to get her out one way or the other, it just made life easier having her at home," said Tierinni.

Getting Patients In And Out Of Bed: Connecticut Company Introduces $45,000 System, Free For Use In State Pilot Program

In the health care field, finding a better way to get patients in and out of bed is the proverbial mousetrap — slings, mechanical platforms and folding beds are among the solutions to a tricky problem.

Next Health, a Norwalk-based company, has entered the field with its AgileLife Patient Mobility System. It uses a bed and wheelchair that transports its occupants by way of a series of motorized rollers, much like a conveyor belt.

Making life easier: Bedridden patients have another option coming from Rowayton company

More than two years ago, John Madigan, founder of Rowayton-based Next Health, discovered a technology that allows bedridden patients to move from bed to wheelchair with minimal assistance.

He was intrigued by AgileLife, a patient transfer system that incorporates a wheelchair dock at the foot of a bed, carrying patients along a gently moving conveyor belt from bed to chair.
